Skyview is 7-2 against Adams City since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Adams City will be up against a hot Skyview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Wolverines' way against Aurora Central on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Humberto Chavez and Kaleb Rodriguez were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Chavez kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Rodriguez pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Chavez also allowed no hits, which is notable because Skyview is 4-2 when he allows at most three hits, but 3-4 otherwise. At the plate, Chavez went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Chavez has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Christopher Ovalle was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Skyview is undefeated when Ovalle posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Marcelo Navarro, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Adams City got the win against Overland on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-2. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Christian Ramirez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marcos LaCrue, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. David Trujillo was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Adams City's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Skyview, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Skyview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Adams City struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Skyview skirted past Adams City 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
