Baseball Recap: Plymouth Comes Up Short

Plymouth managed to slip by Winneconne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 15-8 to the Wolves on Tuesday. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wolves since on Tuesday.

Brett Shutter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Plymouth is 5-1 when Shutter posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Picard, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Plymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Winneconne, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

While Plymouth had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
