Meanwhile, Palmetto's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Powdersville at home and fell 85-50. Palmetto was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-21.
Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Palmetto, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
