Bethel is 0-4 against Tippecanoe since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Bees will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Bethel put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lehman Catholic as they made off with a 17-4 win. The Bees have beaten the Cavaliers the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cavaliers has come to flipping the script.
Erik Eastman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eastman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jayden Graves was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bethel's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Connor McElroy, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tippecanoe made easy work of Sidney on Thursday and carried off a 13-2 victory. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Like Bethel, Tippecanoe also got a great game from a two-way player: Carson Jackson. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Jackson has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Tippecanoe got a massive performance out of Ethan Harney, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Bryce Eckert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Tippecanoe's record is now 15-5. As for Bethel, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Bethel suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Tippecanoe in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Bees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
