The Armstrong Trojans will head out on the road to  face off against  the Watseka Warriors at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Last Tuesday, Armstrong suffered a  rough 16-10 defeat at the hands of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Armstrong in their matchups with Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley: they've now lost six in a row.
  Ellie Jameson stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a  run while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carly Grant, who  went 4-for-5 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Watseka stacked  a  fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Iroquois West 12-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Watseka.
 Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Watseka, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
 Armstrong beat Watseka 10-7  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Will Armstrong repeat their success,  or does  Watseka have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
