Even though the Rutland Hurricanes have not done well against the Central Chargers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Rutland enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over Central. Winning may never get old, but Rutland sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Elijah Brooks, who scored 23 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keadon Knight, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Rutland's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Central, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Rutland won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Westside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Friday. Central will take on Veterans in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at. Veterans has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 477 points over their last seven games.
