Westfield (Chantilly, Va.) saw its 14-point lead shrink to eight, but hung on to upset
Robinson (Fairfax, Va.) 21-13 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Tyler Thrasher-walker touchdown run in the second quarter, the Bulldogs were up 14-7 at the half.
Westfield expanded its lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Thrasher-walker.
With the win the Chantilly school extended its winning streak to six games. Westfield defeated Hayfield 33-12 last week.
The Bulldogs had given up an average of 14.5 points prior to the contest.
Westfield also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 24-21.
The loss comes after Robinson defeated Patriot 35-13 last week.
