Capital Valley recap September 24, 2013
Bella Vista scaled the state rankings by moving to 556 from 611 this week, the biggest jump in Capital Valley. The Broncos climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Yuba City 33-20.
Rio Linda was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in the league. The Knights vanquished Foothill 54-7 earlier in the week.
Peyton Wilfley and Gabe Alvarado gave Casa Roble a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Wilfley threw for 298 yards and 4 touchdowns, while Alvarado ran for 105 yards. Jake Harris also contributed to the rushing game with 72 yards on the ground.

Justin Holmes was the best receiver in the league this week as Oakmont lost to Roseville. Holmes tallied 8 receptions for 123 yards. Namani Parker helped Oakmont's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 22 yards.

Wilfley put up the best numbers through the air as Casa Roble beat Golden Sierra. Wilfley's favorite target this week was Brenden McCarthy, who caught 3 passes for 100 yards.
He was 12-15 with 0 interception.
6-foot-0 quarterback Wilfley of Norm Ryan's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 988. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Holmes. The Oakmont star has 22 catches for 393 yards.
Rio Linda took down the Mustangs 54-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
