Moses Brown had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 5-7  on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals 17-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  25-11  on Thursday.
 Celia Bodurtha made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Bodurtha was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Abby DeWolf was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  hits the last three times she's  played.  Emmy Monchik was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI.
 Moses Brown  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
As for St. Mary Academy-Bay View,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
 On St. Mary Academy-Bay View's side,  Caitlin Pierce stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run marked the first that  Pierce has  launched this season. Another player making a difference was  Qiana Sumner, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Moses Brown will challenge Westerly at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Quakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Mary Academy-Bay View, they will welcome Chariho  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so the Bengals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
