Terre Haute North Vigo took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Shakamak. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Morgan Hoggatt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Hoggatt was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Zigler, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Madi Strange was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

Cunningham went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Archer went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Carie-Fredrick, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Terre Haute North Vigo's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Vincennes Lincoln, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Vincennes Lincoln's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Terre Haute North Vigo has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.6 hits per game.
