AA Dulles recap Oct. 3, 2012
Briar Woods extended the longest winning streak in AA Dulles this week by beating Tuscarora, 35-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Briar Woods was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, Charlie Pierce's team defeated the Huskies 35-6.
Briar Woods' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trace McSorley has thrown for 820 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Cameron Serigne has 20 catches for 332 yards. Cory Colder leads the league in rushing with 443 yards.
The top two teams in AA Dulles will face off this week when first place Briar Woods takes on second place Woodgrove. Last week, the Falcons defeated Tuscarora, while Woodgrove lost to Loudoun County.
Dominion and Park View played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Dominion eventually emerging with a 20-15 victory.
