The Westlake Thunder had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Skyridge 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Skyridge still got an impressive performance from Jordan Kohler, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kohler has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dane Housley, who scored four points along with nine assists and two steals.
Westlake's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14. As for Skyridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Westlake will head out on the road to challenge the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehi will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Skyridge will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lone Peak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
