After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Trier, Marmion was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the De La Salle Meteors as they made off with an 11-3 victory. The Cadets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

Jack Hughes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Charlie Zebig was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had over his last nine games. Another player making a difference was Ethan Flores, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Marmion's win bumped their record up to 9-7-1. As for De La Salle, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Marmion will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Meteors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
