Meanwhile, Pawnee City put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dorchester 52-25 on the road. Given Pawnee City's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Dorchester is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jett Farwell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 85 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 31 yards and a touchdown. Justin Pierce was another key contributor, throwing for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes.
Sioux County's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pawnee City, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Sioux County commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.9 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Pawnee City struggles in that department as they've been even better at 6.6 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
