Lincoln made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,048 from 1,119. The improvement came about via a 72-12 victory over the Lynx last week.
Victor's dynamic duo of Matt Kittel and Kyle Ball proved tough for Arlee to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kittel threw for 415 yards and six touchdowns and Ball had 191 yards receiving. Corey Deering helped Victor's passing attack out by catching 15 balls for 159 yards.
Jacen Petersen made the biggest impact on defense this week as Charlo topped Lincoln. The 5-foot-8 junior forced one fumble and recorded one fumble.
Josh Erickson was the most productive running back in Western C (8 Man) this week. He ran for 254 yards on 29 carries as Shane Brown's team defeated the Scarlet Warriors. Teammate Klint Menard added to the ground attack by rushing for 40 yards.
Victor's Kittel and Ball have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kittel has thrown for 2298 yards this season, while Ball has 67 catches for 970 yards. Erickson from the Lynx leads the league in rushing with 1480 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Vikings and Drummond. Charlo enters the contest ranked seventh in the state, while the Trojans ranks 11th.
Brandon Howell's team's Ball needs only 30 receiving yards against Seeley-Swan to crack 1,000 for the season.
Mike Krahn's team led Western C (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 72 points on Lincoln. Tra Ludeman threw for 143 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
