Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Houston Yount stepped things up a notch to give Munford the 'W'. Yount wasn't messing around, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The matchup was his third straight with at least one stolen base.

Yount's strong effort led Munford over Millington Central and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are a perfect 10-0 against the Trojans going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
