Kaukauna has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Appleton West Terrors at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Kaukauna came up short against Oshkosh West and fell 51-44.
Kaukauna's defeat came about despite a quality game from Addison Baumgart, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jozy Ebben, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Appleton West's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-18 loss at the hands of Fond du Lac. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Appleton West has scored all season.
Kaukauna's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Appleton West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Kaukauna couldn't quite finish off Appleton West in their previous meeting back in January and fell 46-43. Can Kaukauna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
