Te'Rel Simmons ran for two touchdowns and
Da'Trean Simmons added two as well as
Elgin (Texas) bested Georgetown (Texas) 37-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Simmons in the first quarter, the Wildcats led 20-0 at the half.
Elgin expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. EHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Simmons.
The loss comes after Georgetown defeated San Marcos 34-19 last week. The loss snapped Georgetown's three-game winning streak. With the win the Wildcats extended their winning streak to four games.
In a 4A Region III District 17 game next week Georgetown (3-1) takes on Manor, and Elgin (4-0) will go up against Hutto also in a 4A Region III District 17 game.
