The Kehillah Rams waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They came out on top against Pacific Bay Christian by a score of 60-52. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Kehillah considering their one-point performance the match before.
Leading Kehillah to victory were Ittai Kohavi and Bodhi Gemello. Kohavi almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Gemello scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gemello has scored all season. Ian Cohen was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Pacific Bay Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Jung, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hahnmin Khim, who scored 13 points.
Kehillah's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Pacific Bay Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kehillah will face off against Summit Shasta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pacific Bay Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Design Tech at 7:20 p.m. on Monday.
