After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Schoharie, Berne-Knox-Westerlo was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights as they made off with a 17-5 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo got a massive performance out of Chris Dwyer, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those hits were Dwyer's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Stevens, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

The victory got Berne-Knox-Westerlo back to even at 2-2-1. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will take on rival Johnstown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons is set to face off against their familiar foe Middleburgh at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
