After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jamestown, York was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bruton Panthers. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.
York got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-23, 30-28, 27-25.
Caleigh Nordin paced York's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nordin got some help from Sophia Tschida and her 29 assists. Kenlee Washington and Addaleigh Harmon kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.
York's victory bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Bruton, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
