Willow Spring has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 33 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Garner 75-36 at home. Willow Spring's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Willow Spring got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Gray out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 23 rebounds. Gray continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kayleen Grullon was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Hillgrove earned a 51-44 victory over Creekview on Friday.
Willow Spring's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Hillgrove, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
