It's playoff time, and Buckeye had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Mayfield Wildcats on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bucks, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Buckeye is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Mayfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-17 record.

Coming up, Buckeye will square off against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bucks 2.2, the Royals 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Mayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
