Fillmore and Oriskany squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fillmore had to settle for second. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyhawks. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Damon Potter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Fillmore saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Boon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jack Boon, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Oriskany, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Fillmore nor the Skyhawks have any future games scheduled.
