Batesburg-Leesville has struggled against Strom Thurmond recently, as their match on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Katlyn Chinn, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Strom Thurmond. Another player making a difference was Lawson Lowe, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Batesburg-Leesville bumped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Strom Thurmond, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Batesburg-Leesville will take on Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Creek comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Strom Thurmond won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Columbia comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
