It was a good run, but the Arapahoe Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-34 defeat at the hands of Northern Valley. Arapahoe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-19.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kade Fisher, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Roskop, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
It was another big night for Jeremiah Hansen, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds for Northern Valley. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Kenton Thalheim was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northern Valley, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Arapahoe will finish 2023 at home by hosting Wallace at 7:15 p.m. on December 28th. Northern Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greeley County at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Greeley County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Northern Valley is ranked 43rd).
