Karter Gonzalez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Hesston picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Karter Gonzalez. Gonzalez rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hesston's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Gonzalez and Hesston will look to defend their home field on Friday against Riley County.

Nash Wray was a major factor in Haven's win over Belle Plaine on Friday. Belle Plaine had no answer to Wray as he threw for 197 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Braxton Creed Goes Supernova in Halstead Victory
Braxton Creed was a major factor in Halstead's win over Ellsworth on Friday. Creed turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Halstead's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Creed and Halstead will head out to face off against Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.
On the season, Wilson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 126.7 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had five rushing touchdowns.
