St. Bonaventure and Santa Clara are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Seraphs will host the Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Bonaventure knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Santa Clara likes a good challenge.
St. Bonaventure is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Foothill Tech with a sharp 26-1 win on Thursday. The Seraphs haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Azaria Aguilar, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Maria Castor was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Aguilar wasn't the only one making solid contact: St. Bonaventure kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Santa Clara got themselves on the board against Fillmore on Wednesday, but Fillmore never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flashes, sneaking past 1-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 16, 2019, but that streak is no more.
Fillmore's batters probably weren't too happy with Kadyn Sanchez, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (she gave up two walks). Sanchez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
St. Bonaventure pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Clara, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Santa Clara's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: St. Bonaventure hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for Santa Clara, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain St. Bonaventure's hitters?
St. Bonaventure took their victory against Santa Clara in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Seraphs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
