It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Christian Heritage Sentinels can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Prestonwood Christian North on Friday, falling 56-8. Christian Heritage's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prestonwood Christian North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Wood, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. Tucker Richardson was another key contributor, gaining 100 total yards and four touchdowns.
Christian Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Prestonwood Christian North, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Christian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prestonwood Christian North will face off against Nazarene Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nazarene Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
