Fans got a thrill when Nathan Finley and Darron Deffebaugh connected against Parsons. The longest such play in Southeast Kansas this season, the connection resulted in 64 yards.
The Vikings lost to Field Kindley 68-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Finley and LaDarrius Johnson gave the Golden Tornado a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Finley threw for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Johnson ran for 159 yards. Devante McFarland also contributed to the rushing game with 125 yards on the ground.

Hubert Thompson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Murray Zogg's team beat Parsons. The 5-foot-11 senior racked up 2.0 sacks.
Pytlowany was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers fell to the Titans. Alex Fink helped Fort Scott's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 39 yards.
Johnson was the best running back in the league this week.
Finley put up the best numbers through the air as the Golden Tornado beat David Pitts' team. Finley's favorite target this week was Deffebaugh, who caught 2 passes for 93 yards.
A big matchup in Southeast Kansas this week will be when Fort Scott takes on Pittsburg. Bob Campbell's team is in fourth place, while the Dragons are in first place.
Chanute made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,968 from 3,536. The advance stemmed from a 51-14 victory over Labette County last week.
