McCrory had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Hazen on Monday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

McCrory has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hazen, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
