Wright City has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Wright City Lumberjax and the Valliant Bulldogs will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wright City posted their biggest win since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fort Towson 74-37 at home. The win was just what Wright City needed coming off of a 48-27 loss in their prior game.
Wright City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Conner Green, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joseph Vance, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Valliant scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Smithville, posting a 84-29 win at home. The victory was just what Valliant needed coming off of a 66-38 loss in their prior match.
Wright City is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Valliant, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Wright City ended up a good deal behind Valliant in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 64-45. Can Wright City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
