Carrabec is 0-5 against Richmond since April of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Cobras will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Carrabec is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Rangeley Lakes on Thursday. The Cobras put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 17-3 win.
Zack Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Davis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Carrabec let Logan Caldwell and Colton Scheve run wild. Caldwell went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles, while Scheve went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Caldwell continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Wyatt Scott was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Carrabec always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Richmond put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Buckfield a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Bobcats have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brady Alexander made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Cale Harrington was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cody Fournier, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Richmond's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carrabec, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
