Basketball Recap: Central Kitsap Piles Up the Points Against Beamer

On Monday, the Central Kitsap Cougars blew past the Beamer Titans, posting a 66-38 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Beamer saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kiana Smiley dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 boards. Those 11 points gave Smiley a new career-high.

Central Kitsap has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Beamer, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Central Kitsap wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-40 win against Port Angeles on the 3rd. As for Beamer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-33 defeat against Enumclaw on the 3rd.
