For the first time this season, Oakland will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Lowell Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Oakland: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Lowell has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
On Wednesday, Oakland needed a bit of extra time to put away Glendale. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 16-12. The Oakers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Karter Spencer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Spencer was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Gavin Williams and Andrew Mason did most of the damage at the plate: Williams went 4-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Mason went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Mason has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Fullerton, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Lowell made easy work of Bonanza on Saturday and carried off a 12-2 victory.
Like Oakland, Lowell also got a great game from a two-way player: Adam Davis. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Davis was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Tanner Coiner looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Wyatt Johnson was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Wyatt McNamee, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Lowell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Oakland's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oakland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lowell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
