They put the hurt on Ramsey with a sharp 54-32 win. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City pushed the score to 46-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Ramsey cut but never quite recovered from.
Leading Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City to victory were Macee Rodman and Ruby Stuckemeyer. Rodman scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Stuckemeyer scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Baya Fingo, who scored five points along with four steals.
Ramsey's loss came despite strong showings from Kelsey Hayes and Mia Waggoner. Hayes scored seven points along with 21 rebounds, while Waggoner scored eight points along with five rebounds. Hayes is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 13 games she's played.
The victory makes it two in a row for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and bumps their season record up to 17-13. As for Ramsey, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will be playing at home against Unity Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is facing Unity Christian at the right time seeing as Unity Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Ramsey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
