The Schulenburg Shorthorns lost against the Hallettsville Brahmas back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Schulenburg was dealt a 73-22 loss at the hands of Hallettsville. Schulenburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-12.
Fay Kutac was Schulenburg's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Alana Herzik held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Herzik took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Schulenburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hallettsville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Schulenburg is on the road again on Friday and play against Industrial at 9:20 a.m. on December 1st. Industrial and Schulenburg are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Hallettsville, they will face off against Cornerstone Christian at 10:40 a.m. on Friday. Cornerstone Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
