The Byrd Yellow Jackets won the last time they faced the Natchitoches Central Chiefs, and things went their way on Friday too. Byrd blew past Natchitoches Central 42-14 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Byrd.
Malachi Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 161 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Johnson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards. Another player making a difference was Asher Murray, who rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Byrd's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Natchitoches Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
