Tinora's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Liberty Center on Thursday. The Rams never let the Elmwood Royals get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Rams not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 22-2).
Zoe Billings made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Billings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Madison Spangler was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Christina Meyer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Tinora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elmwood only posted a batting average of .158.
Tinora's record is now 7-10. As for Elmwood, their record now sits at 14-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tinora will host Van Buren at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Black Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.21 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Elmwood, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Perrysburg at 5:00 p.m.
