Plattsburgh has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Beekmantown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Plattsburgh beat the Bobcats 53-49.
Meanwhile, Beekmantown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Saranac Lake 64-35 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-12.
Payton Parliament continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Grace McCasland, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Plattsburgh pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Beekmantown, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Plattsburgh came up short against the Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 48-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Parliament, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. Now that Plattsburgh knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
