Basketball Recap: Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Comes Up Short

If Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] was feeling good fresh off their 59-34 takedown of Boyd County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stuart Broncos on Tuesday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] still got an impressive performance from Lydia Robertson, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Robertson has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kanyon Allemang, who posted 15 points and five steals.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Stuart, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] will take on O'Neill in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] is facing O'Neill at the right time seeing as O'Neill is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Stuart, they will host Burke/South Central on Friday.
