Providence Hall has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ben Lomond recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Providence Hall Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Ben Lomond Scots at 3:30 p.m. Providence Hall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Providence Hall is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against North Sanpete on Wednesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Providence Hall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McCade Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Pierce Taylor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Ben Lomond's offense. They came up short against Bonneville on Monday, falling 19-0. The Scots have struggled against the Lakers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Providence Hall, they dropped their record down to 3-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ben Lomond's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Providence Hall has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ben Lomond, though, as they've been averaging only 1.7 strikeouts. Will Providence Hall keep running through batters, or will Ben Lomond buck the trend?

Providence Hall took their victory against Ben Lomond in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 17-0. Will Providence Hall repeat their success, or does Ben Lomond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
