They strolled past Calhoun Academy with points to spare, taking the game 66-47. This was payback for St. John's Christian Academy, who suffered a 55-41 loss the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Calhoun Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Strickland. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Layton, who scored 15 points along with six assists.
St. John's Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-15 record this season. As for Calhoun Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.
St. John's Christian Academy and Holly Hill Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in St. John's Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. Calhoun Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
