Burlington waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Nickerson Panthers. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Burlington who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 21-25, 26-24.

Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 30-6. As for Nickerson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-25 record this season.

Burlington has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Haven on the 20th. As for Nickerson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Cheney on the 20th.
