Basketball Game Preview: St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats vs. Robertsdale Golden Bears

The St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats will face off against the Robertsdale Golden Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, St. Luke's Episcopal came up short against Washington County and fell 50-42. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, St. Luke's Episcopal saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Logan Stephenson went 9 of 15 on her way to 26 points and five boards. Stephenson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Armani Coleman was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Robertsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Daphne 70-7. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Trojans are ranked 20th).

St. Luke's Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Robertsdale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

St. Luke's Episcopal beat Robertsdale 43-31 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does St. Luke's Episcopal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Robertsdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
