Millard North got themselves on the board against Omaha North on Friday, but Omaha North never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brandon Berge looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Marcus Hankins, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jackson Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Millard North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha North only managed four hits.

Millard North's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7. As for Omaha North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Millard North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Westview on the 28th. As for Omaha North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-7 loss against Lincoln Southeast on the 26th.
