Fort LeBoeuf had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Warren on Monday. The Bison put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 9-2 win. That looming 9-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bison yet this season.
Ethan Bliley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nick Askins, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Fort LeBoeuf was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against General McLane on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Ramblers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Derick Friedman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cathedral Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Fetzner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Fort LeBoeuf's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Cathedral Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-5 record.
