Brewer and Bangor are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Witches will venture away from home to take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brewer will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Brewer needed a bit of extra time to put away Hampden. They skirted past the Broncos 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Witches have posted against the Broncos since May 20, 2021.

05/05/25 vs Bangor | 6 |
05/14/25 vs Camden Hills | 5 |
05/28/25 @ Mount Desert Island | 4 |

Sara Young was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over ten innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Brewer let Audrey Loupin and Emma Jameson run wild. Loupin went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Jameson got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run and one double. Those two runs gave Loupin a new career-high.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bangor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Brunswick a 2-0 shutout on Friday.
The result came thanks to Emma Tripp's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sophie Lynch, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
Bangor is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Brewer, their record is now 9-4.
Both Brewer and Bangor just can't seem to miss. The Witches have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Bangor struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brewer beat Bangor 8-4 when the teams last played on May 5th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Witches since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
