The Tooele Buffaloes struggled with assists on Friday (the Delta Rabbits had 1000% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Tooele took a hard 68-53 fall against Delta.
Despite the loss, Tooele still got an impressive performance from Ethan B rogers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. B rogers scored a full 32.1% of Tooele's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Crew Lewis, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Leading Delta to victory were Bronco Bundy and Cai Henderson. Bundy scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Henderson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Jaytn Brough was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Tooele's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Delta, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tooele will challenge Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Delta, they will head out on the road to face off against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
