Cheyenne/Reydon is 8-0 against the Bulldogs since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cheyenne/Reydon Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Sweetwater Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Cheyenne/Reydon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
Cheyenne/Reydon pushed their score all the way to 57, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Seiling, falling 85-57. While losing is never fun, Cheyenne/Reydon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Wildcats are ranked ninth).
Cheyenne/Reydon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Bogges, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Kynli Carlson who scored 14 points. Bogges has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Miranda Allen, who scored six points along with three steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Sweetwater gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Tipton 65-40. The victory was familiar territory for Sweetwater who now have four in a row.
Cheyenne/Reydon's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Sweetwater, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Cheyenne/Reydon won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, slipping by the Bulldogs 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cheyenne/Reydon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
